Executive Development Programme (EDP)

The institute offers Executive Development Programme (EDP) to different tea companies, fertilizer companies, pesticide companies etc. for their executives. Similar such programmes have already been conducted since 1994 in Shillong, Tezpur, Siliguri in India. Objective of such programmes are to :

Sensitize senior personnels in the management of tea estate on decision support systems and related issues.

Provide means for effective personnel management.

Provide means for better input utilization.

Design models for better utilization of existing resource.

Provide guidelines for energy conservation in tea estate.

Managerial motivation of the personnel.

Management decision support system in resource utilization and marketing to brokers.

Labour Management - behavioral aspect.

Inventory & warehouse management including transportation system.

Manpower Audit.

Effective methods in technological planning in field etc.

Workshops

Need based workshops are offered by the institute from time to time for the betterment of the Tea Industry. Few such workshops have been conducted for Small tea planters in West Bengal, for set gardens of West Bengal and Assam in India. The workshops are exclusively designed according to the specific need of the concerned people in Tea Industry.
